I thought I would stop by to read about your black hole post. Everything you say is totally correct, nothing wrong with slow, as you say. Slow is actually quite nice in this day and age of everything being now, now, now!

Every time someone chooses to use their time, reading my work…it means so much. And I completely agree, I am learning to love the slow pace, in a fast pace world. 💕
Substack definitely is the sloooow platform and all the better for it. Don’t even think about not continuing with it! Definitely share it with others. I’ve been throwing mine about in Facebook etc, cringing while I’m doing it, but finally got one subscriber from that 🥵By they way, how can you see how many followers you have?
I’ve put our feelers on my FB & collected about 20ish emails for when I’m ready…but I only plan to share the link when I put some of my work behind a paywall. (I’m not there yet)
It’s not from a place of being embarrassed- it’s more that I want a different audience. There’s a freedom in writing for people who don’t “know” me (or my son) & I love that right now…Its also easier for me to protect his anonymity here, which is more important me to than quick growth.
In the same place that you can see your subscribers, there’s a drop down where you can see your followers! I’ll screenshot it and share…
